For many, Puerto Rican residents purchasing a home is a requirement for Act 60 Status. Others simply want to own rather than rent. We built this special lending platform to help get funding for people who want to make an impact and live the island life, but are struggling to qualify for loans from traditional banks.
What's wrong with traditional banking?
In Puerto Rico, traditional banks just aren’t set up to lend to you. In the U.S., company owners typically write off as much as possible and pay as little taxes as possible. There are lending products that cater to entrepreneurs in the states but none in Puerto Rico
Puerto Rican banks are heavily regulated and don’t have products for self-employed borrowers or qualified borrowers that have non-existent or low W2 income. As a result, even people who could easily qualify for a loan in the States, often get rejected in PR.

Our platform doesn’t compete with Puerto Rico banks. We simply finance the loans that PR banks cannot do. We know that once we get people in their homes in Puerto Rico, they will bank and do business with our local banks and thus support our local island economy.
